There was a time when I felt bad about being ME....WTF!!! And when I say bad, I mean, shame, guilt, feeling not good enough or like there is something wrong with me.
Constantly comparing myself to other women, how thin they were, how beautiful they were, how easily they seemed to get along with groups of other women, how good their life was, whatever really.
And the shame that I felt wasn’t even super obvious; it was a subtle sense of just not feeling good enough or that I didn’t belong where I was. Yet was covered up with distractions, like T.V, alcohol, validation from my partner (at the time), food, work, odd jobs etc.
Since being on my healing journey which I prefer to call a journey of self discovery or self development.
I’ve learned that I was not alone in my struggles and many other women battle with the same issues, so helping other women to understand their mindset and that we can change our thoughts and behaviours came very natural to me because I’ve done the work and have transformed so many of these limitations of the mind.
Though just like eating a healthy diet you can’t do it once and expect to be healthy for the rest of your life, you need to constantly choose what you feed your body.
And feeding your mind with the right energy is so important. So choosing what you let into your energy field (what or who is influencing you) needs to be a priority if you want to enjoy who you are and what you do with your life.
One of the first things I did about 10 yrs ago now was stop watching free to air T.V. Yep, there was a time when I wouldn’t miss an episode of “Home and Away”. Then one day I realised that this was one of the distractions and part of the problem that was creating an unhealthy mindset.
